Melanie is a writer, mom, and professional chaos coordinator. Not Logan started as a fun side project to help her own reluctant reader fall in love with books—and accidentally turned into a hilarious, heartfelt story that kids everywhere now call their favorite. She believes that laughter is the gateway to literacy, and that even the most screen-obsessed kids deserve a book that feels like it was written just for them.
When she’s not writing, Melanie can be found brainstorming with her co-author son, homeschooling, acting as a short-order cook for her family, and trying to figure out the whole “time management” thing.
Hunter is a 12-year-old gamer, creative genius, and the original inspiration behind Not Logan. He co-wrote many of the funniest scenes in the book and served as the official “kid filter,” making sure every page passed the ultimate test: “Would I actually read this?”
Hunter loves gaming, goofing off, telling stories, and making people laugh—even if it means roasting himself in the process. He hopes this book helps other kids (especially ones who “hate reading”) discover that books can actually be fun.
